Paraguay edged past Turkey in a tightly contested match, winning 1–0 after a dramatic first half.
Matías Galarza opened the scoring early in the 2nd minute, giving Paraguay a dream start. The South American side then managed the game well, holding their structure and resisting Turkey’s attempts to respond. Just before halftime, Miguel Almirón doubled the advantage in 45+3 minutes, sealing control of the match going into the break.
Despite a strong Turkish lineup featuring key names like Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Arda Güler, and Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Turkey struggled to break through Paraguay’s disciplined defensive setup and couldn’t find the net.
Paraguay, led by players such as Almirón, Julio Enciso, and Matías Galarza, maintained their intensity and game control to secure a solid win.
